This page shares a bit about why I started The Citizens’ Table.
We live in an age of shortcuts and shorthand, where complex problems are reduced to sound bites, deep ideas are replaced by talking points, and our democratic discourse is shaped more by frustration than understanding.
The Citizens’ Table is a space for slowing down, asking better questions, and returning to first principles: What is freedom? What is a state for? What makes a government legitimate? And what role should institutions play in a democratic society?
Everyone brings something to the table. This project is about making room for more voices, to reflect on the words we use, the systems we live in, and the future we are building together.
This is where complexity meets clarity, and where curiosity is always welcome.
